USA Junior All-American Coach Danielle Miller attended the National Girls High School Championships and awarded medals to all the Girls High School National Championship All Tournament Team:

An impressive list of players to say the least.  A few other players stood out to our WGR field staff as worthy of nomination:

The Sacramento Amazons, with two wins, including a convincing win over Summit and a close loss to DSHA, are probably worthy of a few more nods.  Eti Haungato is the powerful wing who scored three tries against Summitt in the 5th Place match.  She's a player every opposing team has to find a way to contain.  The Amazon's flyhalf, Melelea Tausinga, although only  a freshman, is also remarkable young lady and a very talented rugger.

Danville, as well, could easily have found themselves finishing higher, and seemed to get better with each match.    Their fullback, Leti Hingano may have been the fastest player in the tournament.

Lastly, Fallbrook could easily have had more recognition because they were clearly the top team.  If there's another honorable mention, recognize their #10 Rachel Stephens, who as a sophomore, kept the ball moving, passed with grace, and made good decisions all weekend.
