 General information:

The first WGR team was formed at Divine Savior Holy Angels in 1996. The first conference season and State Championship was held in the fall of 2001, with four original clubs. The league has continued to grow and showcase national level talent and competition. The WGR routinely fields teams that compete strongly in the Midwest Girls Rugby Tournament, but also the National High School Girls Rugby Championship Tournament.

Proceeds from the state tournament benefit Wisconsin Girls Rugby (WGR). WGR offers grants to coaches for certification and training, start-up grants for new teams and balls.  WGR also coordinates the annual State Tournament event in an effort to grow the game. The goal for next year is to move to a stadium-type facility to increase the exposure of Girls High School Rugby.

Please contact me with any questions. Thank you!
