Saturday Oct 6th
DSHA 46 Vernon 8
DSHA moved to 5-0 after defeating the previously undefeated Harlequins at their home pitch. After getting out to a quick 10-0 lead, Vernon fought back with a 10-phase barrage and were awarded a penalty, that their kicker hit, for the three points. It appeared Vernon might be able to keep it close until some turnovers were converted to more points for DSHA, as they broke the game open. Vernon was able to add a try near the end of a match in which they continued to battle hard. The Dasher's senior captain, Emily Van Bibber, scored two tries and hit three conversions in the winning effort.
CMHS (win) over Menomonee Falls (forfeit)
DSHA JV 17 CMHS 22
Both referee's at the field Saturday commented that this was the best 'jv' game they may have ever seen. Featuring a highly-skilled attack, both teams played with width, at times; kicked at times, and competed at the breakdown effectively. After at least three lead changes in a fun match, Memorial freshman winger Ellie Metz scored the decisive try late in the second half.
