The Wisconsin High School Girls All Star team kicked off
their first tryout last Sunday. While the spring has been disastrous for
weather so far, Sunday turned out to be a great day. Over 30 players
participated in the tryout, with representatives from DSHA, CMH, KM, Vernon,
Brookfield/Tosa, Oak Creek, and Muskego. It is not too late for anyone that
missed, as there is one more tryout on May 5
th from Noon to 4pm at
Minooka Park.
A little bit of everything was covered at the tryout, from
fitness testing, ball handling, offensive and defensive drills, to games of
touch. Coach Noe talked about what it means to represent Wisconsin and the
differences that exist on an All Star team. “It’s a different dynamic, you get
to play with new, interesting people that you are not used to, and an All Star
team is never the same from game to game. I and the other coaches are all
really excited to be able to work with this group, as we progress towards our
goals of competing for a Midwest Championship and getting players selected for
the High School All American team.”
If any players are still interested in trying out, please
contact Coach Jeff Noe as soon as possible to get your information and have you
included on any important WI All Star team updates before the May 5th
tryout at Minooka.
